Senior Software Engineer - Seibel (Developer)

Primary Purpose of Job:

The senior software engineer is a Siebel CRM professional responsible for identification, design, and implementation of technology and business solutions at a Thomson SBU level.  He or she is responsible for developing and maintaining Siebel CRM functionality to support 300+ Siebel users.  The engineer will be part of Siebel team and will report to Manager, Technology.  This role will requires solid experience in Siebel Core, Siebel integration, Server administration and development. The candidate must be committed to delivering efficient and effective solutions to the business.

Major Accountabilities:
Designs and implements software solutions to support current and future revenue streams in excess of $1 Billion with a growth rate of 12% per year.

Contributes towards requirements gathering, application design, and estimation tasks. Responsible for full SDLC - development, UAT, production rollout and ongoing support of applications

Provides technical expertise to MIS and the business by being conversant with and cognizant of the future direction of information technology and systems, how that direction will impact the department, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of Thomson Reuters.

1.Bachelor’s or Masters Degree
2. IT Experience :   5+ years; Siebel Experience :   4+ years
3. Strong expertise on Siebel configuration using Siebel Tools, Siebel workflow and Siebel scripting. Hands on experience with Siebel EAI, Web Services VBCs and EIM.
4. Also experience needed with Siebel Server administration, installation, maintenance, LDAP and Resonate..
5. Candidates with experience of Siebel upgrade 7.5 and above will be given preference
6. Knowledge of Unix (Sun Solaris) and DB2/UDB is desirable.
7. Knowledge of Siebel Order Management is a plus..
8. Solid communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) and strong interpersonal skills is required.
