Linux Administrator (24*7 Operations)

Job Description

Responsible for attending to all the trouble tickets as logged in the trouble ticketing software

Working as per the work allocated by the Team Lead – 24*7 Operations

Should be able to handle and close off the requests/incidents

Participate in ITIL processes such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacity planning process

Monitoring of resource usage & services

Desired Profile

BE with expertise in the following technical skills:

Operating System: Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 Administration, Redhat Linux ENT. 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, Solaris, HP-UX

Microsoft Cluster & Microsoft Load Balancing administration, SUN Cluster, VERITAS cluster, VERITAS file system, VERITAS Volume manager, Active Directory Administration, WSUS, SMS, MOM Administration, Redhat Cluster administration,

Web Technologies: IIS 5, IIS 6, Apache, Tomcat

Other Services: DNS/DHCP, Squid proxy, NFS, DNS, Radius, Email (Send mail, MS Exchange, Qmail etc).

Basic hardware knowledge essential

Experience   2 - 4 Years
