Job Description

Currently we have an opening for Sr Engineer- oracle DBA for Gurgaon

location.candidate must have worked on large DB (>400 GB).Understanding of CRM added

advantage. Must have experience on Oracle RAC and Sun Cluster. ASM knowledge is

added advantage.OCP certification

Desired Candidate Profile

Installation Patch Management Installing & Maintaining DB Tools Patch upgrade

Database Patch / Patchset Installation Database Design & Setup Database Clean up /

Removal ? DB Cloning Monitoring Verify all Instances and dependent services are

running Look for any new error log entries Session / Process Monitoring Query or

Transaction monitoring Lock and Deadlock moni toring Activity / Transaction Log

monitoring Job monitoring and Purging Job history Monitor Space usage /growth of

Database objects Monitor transaction log growth and truncate schedule Ma intenance

Reorganization of DB to remove fragmentation Update Stats for hot objects Purging of

DB logs and trace files Schedule maintenance plans for maintenance like DBCC

REINDEX / INDEX DEFRAG Creation of maintenance plans and jobs for updatestats ,

defragmentation Performance Verify that Server has enough resources for acceptable

performance Periodic Report Ge neration on Database Health Identify bad growth

projections Identify space-bound objects Review contention for CPU, memory, network,

and disk resources Generating statistics Look for ob jects that break rules. Ensure

that all indexes use an index table space Look for harmful growth rates Examine

tuning opportunities. Look for I/O Contention ? Review fragmentation by inve

stigating row chaining and other areas of fragmentation Capture Performance

Statistics of Instance like IO, Waits, Paging, Buffer Hit Ratio, Full Scans e
